DIY Home Project: Outdoor Shower

Today were looking at adding a shower to the back yard, I guess you could put one in your front yard but that might get weird...anyways...this would work great next to a pool or hot-tub where you need to rinse off after a swim or even just as somewhere to cool off after working in the yard. My personal favorite use would be when the kids are filthy and you just don't feel good about letting them in the house! Check out how to do it HERE! And by the way its about a 3 out of 10 difficulty!

DIY Home Project: Planter Umbrella Stand

Today we are looking at making a planter umbrella stand. This will add beauty to those unsightly umbrella stands and will also hide its true function when not in use! By selecting a large planter pot at least 15 inches high you can add a layer of rock to stabilize the bottom, then a layer of concrete and then a lair of soil for planting. In the center of the three lairs is a section of PVC pipe that the umbrella slips into, by arranging the plants strategically you will not even notice the section of pipe when the umbrella is not in use. Today were looking at adding the beauty of a flagstone path without going broke paying a landscaper to do it for us while making it look like we did! Flagstone is beautiful and holds up great over the years, and the great thing is you can have them in the front and back yard, they instantly add curb appeal when done right! Check it out HERE!
